Summer social 8 week competition on a Monday afternoon, October and November.
Age Groups - 8yrs (2017), 10yrs (2015), 11yrs (2014)

nb. 7yrs (2018), 9yrs (2016), 12yrs (2013) and Intermediates (2011, 2012) participate in the Troppo Tuesday Comp.

Game Times: 4 x 10mins
8yrs - 4.50pm (grass court)
10yrs - 4.50pm (hard court / grass court if needed) or 5.45pm (hard court)
11yrs - 5.45pm (hard court)

Time allocations depend on the number of teams nominated per age group.
10yrs & 11yrs divisions divisions may be merged to provide a more even competition, so game times are a guide only.
Time requests will not be considered.
Allocation of game times and courts is at the discretion of MDNA Fixtures.

FEES

The fees below are the MDNA and Netball Qld fees.

Your club may choose to add on their own fee (eg. to cover umpire payments), so the total fee amount may vary amongst the clubs.

$116 - 8yrs (2017) and 10yrs (2015)
$124 - 11yrs (2014)
If NOT previously registered for a season with MDNA or a Netball Qld affiliated competition this year.
Registration covers the player for the Twilight Tuesday Season only for MDNA and Netball Qld registrations.

NOTE: Players are NOT allowed to take the court if they have not yet registered.

This is a liability / insurance issue and a breach of the competition rules.

COMPETITION INFORMATION

MDNA Codes of Behaviours apply to all players, sectators and team officials.
Team Numbers in each age group will be capped, determined by court availability.
Mixed age teams will participate in the age group of the oldest player. Nb. Players may only play up 1 year.
Players don’t all have to be from the same club or team but all must register with the same club for this competition and wear the same uniform.
Piercings MUST be removed, cannot be taped (the same as Saturday competition rules).
No time requests will be considered. Time and court allocations will be determined by the number of teams that nominate in each age group. This is at the discretion of MDNA Fixtures.
8yrs & 10yrs players participating in the 8yrs & 10yrs competition will receive a participation award.
11yrs teams that are top of the ladder in each division after the last game will receive an award.
Teams are to supply their own bibs, netball and first aid kit. Your club will generally supply these to you.
Rained out games will not be replayed. Check Facebook for updates regarding game cancellations.
Males may participate - max. of 3 on court at the same time. For 10yrs and 11yrs team 2 males may not play in the same area of the court eg. GS and GA, GK and GD, C and WA, C and WD.

Player Fillins: Players registered in the 2025 MDNA Saturday Competition may fillin for Twilight teams but should be the same age, or a year younger, and of a similar standard as the team they are filling in for. They cannot become a regular team player, they must register. Players participating in the Twilight Comp. from the same division or lower age / division from the same or different club may fillin. Players NOT registered in the Saturday or Twilight Competition cannot fillin.

Umpires

8yrs teams umpire/coach their own games as per Saturday competition. See: 8yrs - The Metro Way Rules
10yrs and 11yrs teams are to supply an umpire for their own game. They must be suitably attired and experienced to manage the standard of game. Liaise with your club as they may arrange an umpire for you.

HOW TO NOMINATE A TEAM

Team Nominations are to be submitted by 8 September
The team nomination is used by the Fixtures committee to place the team in the most appropriate division, so please ensure it is completed in full.
Team numbers are capped. Acceptance of teams into the competition is at the discretion of the Fixtures.
Nominations are accepted in the order received. Min of 7 players must be nominated.
Teams MUST advise their club that they have nominated.
Please use the same club, team number and name (if applicable) as used for the Saturday Competition, even if players are not exactly the same.
Teams must nominate in their correct age group. Fixtures may decide to move a team to an older / younger age group in the interests of a balanced competition.
Mixed age teams are to nominate in the age group of the oldest player.
10yrs and 11yrs teams are graded and must nominate a recommended division where the team will be competitive. There are generally 3 or 4 divisions. Nb. The Twilight divisions may have a wider spread of abilities as there will be less teams participating than play in the Saturday Competition. Please take this into account when nominating a division. Eg.
Saturday Div 1 = Twilight Div 1
Saturday Div 2 = Twilight Div 1 or 2
Saturday Div 3 and 4 = Twilight Div 2 or 3
Fixtures will confirm acceptance of the team nomination via email to the Team Contact 10 September.
Clubs to submit Teams via Netball Connect by 15 September. Players who have registered by then are to be included in the team nomination. Players registering after that date will have to be added to the team in Netball Connect by their club prior to the 1^st game.

PLAYER REGISTRATION

All players must individually self register and pay their registration fee online through their club via Netball Connect - opens 10 September. This is the only method of registering and paying available. Clubs will supply to their members a link to their club online registration for the Twilight competition so they can register.
2^nd season registration fee discount will automatically apply during the registration process where applicable.
CLUBS WILL NEED TO SET UP A CLUB REGISTRATION TO THE MDNA TWILIGHT COMP IN NETBALL CONNECT (THE SAME AS DONE FOR THE SATURDAY COMP.).
FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE ISSUED DIRECTLY TO CLUBS WHEN THE COMPETITION HAS BEEN SETUP BY FIXTURES.
